Homec classes occur on select Tuesdays for students (ages 7-12). Taking on lessons like natural fabric dyeing, jam making, crocheting, sewing, and more. These classes come with a Part A and Part B class for each topic. The Part A class will be an introduction, history and real-life application of the subject. Part B will be half the follow Tuesday and will give students time to create what they are learning about. There are examples of the Part A and Part B break down in the class list. There will be two topics covered a month in the morning sessions. There will be one topic a month covered in the afternoon sessions.
Additionally, our teachers use a variety of techniques during each lesson to help students of all learning styles to understand and comprehend each area of study. Lessons have been designed with specific age ranges and multiple ability levels in mind.
Morning Session Homec Classes:
9AM-11PM every Tuesday of the month. We will cover two topics each month.
Afternoon Session Homec Classes:
3:30-5:30PM the LAST TWO Tuesdays of the month. The last topic of the month will be the afternoon Homec class topic.

Grow & Gather: Gardening Basics AM ONLY Part A: Students will learn how plants grow, what they need to thrive, and how to plan and start a simple garden. They’ll prepare soil, plant seeds, and explore how gardens can support both people and pollinators. Part B: Students will care for their growing plants, study the changes they see, and harvest what’s ready to make a small, garden-inspired project or recipe. Naturally Dyed Creations: From Garden to Garment AM and PM Part A: Discover how nature provides its own rainbow!
