Description

It’s happening now, the Iditarod happens every year in March. This amazing race challenges 50-80 dog sledding teams and helps to celebrate the mode of transportation that helped Alaskans in settlement and even times of crisis! Hear a story from one of the bravest sled dogs, Balto, and join in as we create and race our own sled dog teams.

During this half day class each student will receive a course booklet to help with our exploration of this subject and will create 2-3 works of art. As students leave, they will be taking with them their finished masterpiece(s), booklet and resources to continue exploring this topic at home!
