Description

Raw fish and veggies,
wrapped in white rice and seaweed.
An edible poem.
Join us for this sensory-rich exploration of Japanese culture. Learn to write syllabic nature poems called haikus. Roll (and eat) your own sushi. Then trade in your chopsticks for a paintbrush and create a Japanese-inspired work of art.

During this half day class each student will receive a course booklet to help with our exploration of this subject and creation of our artwork. As students leave, they will be taking with them their finished masterpiece(s), booklet and resources to continue exploring this topic at home!
