Description

Drill down into the Industrial Revolution and its coal mining industry. Create a silhouette of a coal mine using charcoal. Grow your own “coalie flowers” from coal. And follow the Grandmother’s special thread down into the goblin mine with Curdie as we look at themes in George MacDonald’s classic fantasy The Princess & The Goblin.

During this half day class each student will receive a course booklet to help with our exploration of this subject and creation of our artwork. As students leave, they will be taking with them their finished masterpiece(s), booklet and resources to continue exploring this topic at home!
