Description

Celebrate African American culture. Learn about the time period and amazing artistic achievements that occurred during the Harlem Renaissance. Through dance, music and literature, we will honor artists like Billy “Bojangles” Robinson, The Nicholas Brothers, Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway, Louis Armstrong, Claude McKay, Alain Locke, and Langston Hughes, among others. Get ready for a jazzy good time!

During this half day class each student will receive a course booklet to help with our exploration of this subject and creation of our artwork. As students leave, they will be taking with them their finished masterpiece(s), booklet and resources to continue exploring this topic at home!
