ALL Homeschool :: The Great Train Trek: Connecting East to West: A Study in History and Geography

Feel the rumble of the tracks as we ride the rails discovering deafening dynamite explosions, treacherous avalanches, and daring bridge-building feats that tested the limits of human courage and engineering genius along the path of the Transcontinental Railroad. During each 14-week semester-long class, we will learn about art and artists from a variety of art eras and the significance of the artwork in history. Along with our historical artists, we will study contemporary artists who use similar techniques and ideas in their work today. Through hands-on projects and activities, students will have the opportunity to employ what they learn about these old masters and new makers.
