Description

Learn one of the oldest Indigo dyeing techniques Shibori, which originated in Japan in the Edo period (1603-1868).  In this process the fabric is bound, stitched, folded, twisted, clamped and compressed then dipped into the natural indigo dye.  It is a process that can create very intricate patterns and geometric shapes on your fabric.  Maker Carrie Perry will be here with us to walk us through this fun and unique process.

This project can be completed in 2hrs and is great for pre-teens through adults.  Happy Hour will be Saturday from 10a to 12p.

$32 per student – cost includes all materials needed for this project, as well as tools and artist instruction.
