Description

Learn one of the oldest Indigo dyeing techniques Shibori, which originated in Japan in the Edo period (1603-1868).  In this process the fabric is bound, stitched, folded, twisted, clamped and compressed then dipped into the natural indigo dye.  It is a process that can create very intricate patterns and geometric shapes on your fabric.  Maker Carrie Perry will be here with us to walk us through this fun and unique process.
This project can be completed in 1.5hr to 2hrs and is great for teen through adult. Happy Hour will be Saturday from 10:30a to 12:30p.
$32 Shibori Hand Dyeing Fabric – cost includes either towel, napkins (2), bag or pillow for dyeing, all supplies, tools as well as instruction on shibori folding/dying techniques.
