DESCRIPTION:This year students can gain skills in creating handmade works of art as well as learning to brand\, package and get their work ready to sell just like a Maker! This 14-week afterschool series will take students on an exploration of 3 different makers techniques allowing them to try\, create and experiment with making their own handmade works. As the semester progresses students will begin to focus on one technique they liked the best to create “products” that they will make\, build packaging and branding\, getting their goods ready to sell. At the end of each semester the TR Makers Co will host a Makers Market for all our students\, elementary and juniors\, at which point they will be introduced as Makers and gain the experience of talking to visitors and selling their work. \nRegistration for this class is done at the beginning of the semester. SUMMARY:Afterschool Makers :: Fall Semester 2024
DESCRIPTION:This year students can gain skills in creating handmade works of art as well as learning to brand\, package and get their work ready to sell just like a Maker! This 14-week afterschool series will take students on an exploration of 3 different makers techniques allowing them to try\, create and experiment with making their own handmade works. As the semester progresses students will begin to focus on one technique they liked the best to create “products” that they will make\, build packaging and branding\, getting their goods ready to sell. At the end of each semester the TR Makers Co will host a Makers Market for all our students\, elementary and juniors\, at which point they will be introduced as Makers and gain the experience of talking to visitors and selling their work. \nRegistration for this class is done at the beginning of the semester. SUMMARY:Summer Maker Day :: Wildcrafting
DESCRIPTION:Wildcrafting – where nature and creativity grow together for an adventure in the great outdoors\, only indoors! Join in for a forest-themed crafting extravaganza\, where you will construct nature-inspired treasures. Wildcrafting will be full of exploration\, imagination\, and the joy of bringing the forest to life through art.  \nDuring this half day event\, students ages 5-11 will be learning new arts and crafting techniques at age appropriate levels. All students will be challenged to think outside the box and grow their own creative style. This half day event will be held from 9a-12p. Registration will continue until the Monday prior to class or until all spots are sold.
