We will learn the important role art has played throughout history as well as its current influence on our modern-day world. Just like many contemporary artists\, you too can use techniques of the past to inspire your own artwork! During each 14-week semester-long class\, we will learn about art and artists from a variety of art eras and the significance of the artwork in history. Along with our historical artists\, we will study contemporary artists who use similar techniques and ideas in their work today. Through hands-on projects and activities\, students will have the opportunity to employ what they learn about these old masters and new makers. \nRegistration for this class is done at the beginning of the semester.
