DESCRIPTION:This year students can grow in their own artistic development\, working towards refining their art\, through creative projects and fun exercises that will push their use of technique! This 14-week afterschool class will take students on an immersive journey into the creative world of fine art. During the semester students will develop their artistic abilities\, employ creative thinking\, and even learn the proper use and care of art materials. At the end of each semester students will have a portfolio showcase for family and friends to see what they have worked on throughout the semester. \nRegistration for this class is done at the beginning of the semester. SUMMARY:Afterschool Makers Fall 2023
DESCRIPTION:This year students can gain skills in creating handmade works of art as well as learning to brand\, package and get their work ready to sell just like a Maker! This 14-week afterschool series will take students on an exploration of 3 different makers techniques allowing them to try\, create and experiment with making their own handmade works. As the semester progresses students will begin to focus on one technique they liked the best to create “products” that they will make\, build packaging and branding\, getting their goods ready to sell. At the end of each semester the TR Makers Co will host a Makers Market for all our students\, elementary and juniors\, at which point they will be introduced as Makers and gain the experience of talking to visitors and selling their work. \nRegistration for this class is done at the beginning of the semester.
