Catch some fish off the dock and embark on treasure hunts\, all the while developing motor skills\, problem-solving abilities\, and unleashing your creativity in this under the sea adventure. \nDuring class you and your curious learner will have time to explore the five imagination stations and participate in making an art creation that has been tailored for this specific topic. Each of the stations and activities helps to build on the four core goals of the Mini Makers program\, which includes encouraging creative play\, social interactions and community building\, educational development\, along with developing fine and gross motor skills. This class is also a great opportunity for grown-ups to connect with their little one and share great memories along the way. SUMMARY:Afterschool Makers :: Fall Semester 2024
DESCRIPTION:This year students can gain skills in creating handmade works of art as well as learning to brand\, package and get their work ready to sell just like a Maker! This 14-week afterschool series will take students on an exploration of 3 different makers techniques allowing them to try\, create and experiment with making their own handmade works. As the semester progresses students will begin to focus on one technique they liked the best to create “products” that they will make\, build packaging and branding\, getting their goods ready to sell. At the end of each semester the TR Makers Co will host a Makers Market for all our students\, elementary and juniors\, at which point they will be introduced as Makers and gain the experience of talking to visitors and selling their work. \nRegistration for this class is done at the beginning of the semester.
